EDSCIO has been operating since 2006 with the primary focus of providing fully integrated range of project services to infrastructure projects. With 25 Years of Experience coming from multi-billion dollar projects and serving numerous clients, EDSICO has opened its first Australian Branch in Sydney in 2014.

We appreciate our clients are different and their projects are unique so one solution doesn’t fit all. This is why we take time, listen and analyse each client’s specific requirements to enable us to provide tailored solutions to address the needs properly.

EDSICO client’s portfolio includes a range of public and private sector clients, including Australian Federal, State and Local Government Agencies and Tier one Contractor and Consultants.

Our Leadership Team

Ali Farhoodi

Ali Farhoodi is the Director of EDSICO Management, where he leads strategy, delivery, and advisory services across major projects in Australia and overseas. With more than 25 years of experience in mining, oil and gas, and infrastructure, he is highly skilled in project management, project controls, and the delivery of complex programs, blending strategic thinking with practical execution to ensure outcomes are achieved on time and within budget. Ali holds qualifications in project management and is widely respected for his leadership and ability to deliver complex initiatives while creating long-term value for clients, partners, and communities.

John Szmajda

John Szmajda is the Commercial Director at EDSICO Management, with over 40 years of experience in engineering, project delivery, and business development. He has led major infrastructure and industrial projects across NSW, specialising in EPCM, process engineering, and commercial management. John holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from UNSW and is recognised for combining technical expertise with strong commercial acumen to deliver value-driven outcomes for clients.

Barry Gordon GAICD

Barry Gordon is the Procurement Director at EDSICO Management, with over 25 years of experience in procurement, contract management, and commercial strategy across government and private sector projects. He previously held senior roles at Transport for NSW, leading multi-billion-dollar contracts and driving innovation in transport systems. Barry is recognised as a people leader who builds high-performing teams and delivers value through collaboration, cost management, and strategic partnerships.

Sahar Mahdavi, Ph.D.

Sahar Mahdavi is a Strategic Advisor at EDSICO Management, where she helps organisations in infrastructure, mining, energy, and government sectors make smarter, data-driven decisions. She specialises in translating complex data into clear strategies, using advanced analytics, Power BI, and machine learning to align business goals with project delivery outcomes. Holding a Ph.D. in Data Science from the University of Sydney, Sahar combines deep technical expertise with practical industry insight to deliver lasting impact.
